2D - 3D Museum Poster / logo redesign
Background: The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum was first established in 1946 and it is located in Washington DC. The museum is home to the largest collection of aviation and space artifacts, encompassing all aspects of human flight, as well as related works of art and archival materials in the world. The largest collection also makes the Air and Spaces Museum the most visited museum in the country, and one of the most visited museum in the world. Their mission is to commemorate the past and their commitment to educating and inspiring people to foster appreciation for the importance of flight to humanity.
Concept: This poster is done in a halftone style and bright colors to help bring in and inspire the younger kids to be more interested in human flight. The image shown is the before and after of the Discovery space shuttle launch. Pull the tab and the shuttle takes off. This poster could also be printed smaller and be used as invitations for big events like galas and fundraisers.
