Background: BugFest is an annual festival that is about all things insects that is held at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Science. It is the nation’s largest bug-centric festival that celebrates all things buggy. And although bugs are not some people’s favorite cup of tea, the festival continues to bring in over 35,000 people each year. BugFest includes many activities and attractions ranging from arts and crafts for the children, educational science displays, to actually getting to try some dishes featuring insects as the main ingredient at Cafe Insecta.
Concept: The concept for the posters and brochure came from the fact ladybugs are surprisingly important to the well being of not on your backyard garden but also the world. They were illustrated using the flat vector style and depicted as warriors working together protecting your garden from the other pesty bugs. The brochure utilizes the octavo fold and doubles as a small takeaway poster on the back after you unfold the brochure.
